Diving School in Lanzarote

The crystal clear waters of Lanzarote contain a large ecosystem with more than 350 species of fish and more than 1200 species of invertebrates of Macaronesian, Mediterranean and Tropical origin, and a seabed characteristic of the volcanic paradise in which we find ourselves. You can also enjoy with our diving school, spotting more than 10 ships that are submerged in our waters and discovering places that very few people have reached before.

Our Dive School is recognized as a PADI center and we have the best facilities and all the latest equipment necessary for our students to enjoy this exciting adventure in complete safety. We also have a hyperbaric chamber for any emergency or unforeseen event that may arise during the development of the activity.

Our surf school in Lanzarote combines perfectly with the introduction to scuba diving, so we offer special packages that combine both activities, but you can also choose the option of just diving… We adapt to you!

All our teachers are qualified, with more than 10 years of experience in the practice and teaching of this sport and great knowledge of the coast and waters of the island of Lanzarote.

Lanzarote Surf with all its schools and activities is open 365 days a year and we offer classes, dives and diving courses every day of the week for all levels. You must bring a medical certificate, and for those of you who are going to do a course with a qualification, you must bring an ID or Passport, along with a passport size photograph.

We offer transport service from the hotels in Costa Teguise and Puerto del Carmen to our school. For those of you staying elsewhere, the pick-up point will be in Caleta de Famara.

For those who have experience and an advanced level in diving, we carry out day and night dives 365 days a year to beautiful places on the island of Lanzarote. We also offer rental of diving equipment and material, guides and boats.

INTRODUCTION TO DIVING

Activity developed on the smallest beach with a maximum of 6-8 meters deep.

Minimum age is 14 years and minors must be accompanied by their parents.

To take one of our diving courses it is essential that you bring a medical certificate with you and for those of you who are going to take one of the courses that obtain a qualification you must bring your ID card or passport and a photo of approximately 4.5 x 5.5 to the centre.

BASIC PADI SCUBA DIVER INITIATION COURSE

At the Diving School we offer 2-3 day courses with 5 dives, 3 of which are in the pool and 2 in the open sea. The course includes three audiovisual theory modules.

At the end of this course you will obtain a qualification that will allow you to dive anywhere in the world in a depth of 12 meters equipped with a diving suit and accompanied by an expert teacher.

MULTIADVENTURE SURFING + DIVING

From the Diving School of Calima, we carry out multiadventure camps for all ages combining different disciplines for those who want to get into two or more sports at the same time.

The package is designed for beginners in surfing and diving, so if you have an intermediate or advanced level, contact our team and we will inform you about the different dives and courses we organize throughout the year to the most spectacular places on the island of Lanzarote.

Are you ready for the big adventure?

The Camp includes

3 days of surfing lessons (5 hours a day with a total of 15 hours) and 2 days of diving lessons (3 hours a day with a total of 6 hours)
1 Week of accommodation in one of our Surf Houses.
All the equipment and material necessary to enjoy the activities. We have a Hyperbaric Chamber to supply any emergency that may arise during the programmed activities.

Lunch on the beach (hot sandwich, fruit juice and water)
Diploma and qualifications where applicable.
Water photography during surfing lessons.

INITIATION IN THE SEA OPEN WATER DIVERS

This course is 4-5 days long and includes 9 dives, 4 of which are in the pool and the other 5 in the open sea, 3 of which are in the pool and 2 in the open sea. The course includes three audiovisual theory modules.

Maximum of 4 students per teacher.

When you finish this course you will get a qualification that will allow you to dive anywhere in the world to a maximum depth of 18 metres. You must be equipped with a diving suit and be accompanied by another person who is an Open Water Diver.

ADVANCED PADI OPEN WATER DIVERS COURSE

3 day course with a total of 5 dives in the open sea.

To pass this course and obtain the corresponding qualification, it is necessary to dive to a depth of 30 metres. The rest of the dives will be carried out where the students decide, normally we go into fascinating places like the wrecks of Puerto del Carmen.

Once you have passed this course, you will be able to dive, equipped with a diving suit and without the need to be accompanied, to a depth of 30 metres anywhere in the world.
